Lattice has signed a partnership agreement with Cohere, a global enterprise AI company.
Through this partnership, Lattice will introduce Cohere’s enterprise AI models and platform to customers in Korea, and the two companies will identify opportunities to build together, with a focus on security-sensitive industries.
About Cohere
Founded in 2019, Cohere is an enterprise AI company that develops and provides large language models (LLMs) for business, along with search-specialised models (Embed, Rerank). From the beginning, Cohere has focused on AI for enterprise customers rather than consumers, building its business around the B2B market.
For enterprises and institutions that place a high priority on data sovereignty and security, Cohere supports flexible deployment in private environments and across a range of cloud environments, and offers ‘North’, an agentic AI platform that can be used directly within secure environments. Cohere has recently been expanding across APAC, including Korea, laying the groundwork for cooperation in the Korean enterprise market.
What does the partnership mean?
The partnership aims for both companies to grow together through joint go-to-market efforts, combining world-class enterprise AI technology with local delivery capabilities grounded in how work is actually done on site.
Lattice has built industry-specific AI for more than 150 customers, centred on security-sensitive industries such as shipbuilding and offshore, defence, and legal and contracts. Our customer-dedicated FDEs (Forward Deployed Engineers) start by learning the work on site at the customer, and build systems that capture the exceptions and tacit knowledge that never make it into the documents — an approach well suited to establishing AI in environments with demanding security requirements.
Cohere brings flexible deployment options, including private deployments, and models and platforms purpose-built for the enterprise. For Korean companies and institutions that have found general-purpose AI difficult to adopt due to security and regulatory constraints, this can be a realistic option.
Starting from this agreement, the two companies plan to actively pursue cooperation in the following directions:
- Joint go-to-market and customer development in the Korean enterprise market
- Identifying use cases for Cohere’s models and platform in security-sensitive industries (shipbuilding and offshore, defence, legal and contracts)
- Ongoing exploration of collaboration opportunities combining the products and technologies of both companies
Lattice will continue to connect the technology of global partners with the way work is actually done on the ground in Korea, supporting the AI transformation (AX) of security-sensitive industries. We look forward to the journey ahead, and to your continued interest and support.
